While watches are the entry-point into the world of men's jewellery, many men have taken it a step or so further. From basketball legend Micheal Jordan's signature gold hoop, to Lance Armstrong's yellow Livestrong bracelet, celebrity icons are redefining the limits. Here's a list of jewellery styles and who's sporting what.

Earings:

Some say earings are the most difficult piece of jewellery to make masculine. While skater boys and rock and roll fans have been rocking the single stud or dangling cross for decades, it's only in recent mode that hip hop stars like Kanye West and Pharell Williams started wearing diamonds in both ears.

Necklaces:

No man sports neck bling like Mr. T. Mr. T is known more for his arrangement of gold necklaces, then he is for his role on the A-Team or his signature mohawk hairstyle. Devasted by the horrible effects of Hurricane Katrina, the celebrity took off his jewellery as a sign of respect for all that they lost.

Beads:

Whether or not you like the lead singer of Poison, the fact is the man's got some incredible pieces. Bret Michaels has adopted a look inclusive of cool, rock and roll beaded jewellery and made it his own. Beaded necklaces have always been a hit amongst men who live by the beach, and are the newest trend for yogis and Buddhists.

Bracelets:

Bracelets are probably the easiest piece of jewellery for men to wear. This is mostly because it doesn't involve much effort to make them masculine. Many men, for instance, wear silver cuffs which can look very nice on the skin (regardless of whether it's smooth or furry.) Nowadays thin strings and leather bracelets are all the rage. David Beckham and Justin Timberlake are amongst those celebs who have adopted this new look.

Rings:

It takes a certain kind of man to pull off rings. Usually, men don't even like to wear their wedding rings! Those that do sport finger bling tend to be rock and roll or scruffy chic, like Johnny Depp or Collin Farell.

Cufflinks:

In many respects cufflinks are the most sophisticated piece of jewellery a man can wear. It is common for men to personlize their cufflinks by say, engraving their initials, or wearing symbols that signify their personality or mood, such as skull and crossbones or musical notes. There's really no limit to how far you can go when it comes to designer cufflinks.
