Enterprise computer applications integrate both software and computer together. This is a new form of application which involves collection of technologies and services. This form of application is used in customer relationship management, supply chain management, maintenance of list of new and old clients. It basically helps in sharing business data and business processes along with sharing data between applications. Every Organisation will make use of this form of application to integrate its back end and front office communication. Hence, it is essential for the smooth running of business enterprise.

Enterprise computer application has become part and parcel of every organisational need:

Client relationship management: This feature allows maintaining new and old client database and following up with various clients at the same time.

Supply chain management: In order to manage shipping and inventory database, Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) is required.

This helps to connect different independent systems together across a single network. These will alleviate any kind of inter dependency problems by allowing integration of different systems together. This is considered to be the best approach in this new form of computer application.

Only a few years ago we logged on to the internet via our home PC's now we can log on using our mobile phones from practically anywhere in the world. Such is the advancement of technology! Enterprise application with its middleware technology and development tools help to efficiently and securely extend leading enterprise resource planning (ERP), customer relationship management (CRM), and custom back-end applications to mobile devices. Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and the front office applications are those which are visible to customer or which are for customer like Customer Relationship Management (CRM), before integrating these applications we have to know about the communication architectures available.
