Flight Pro Sim is one of those games that well suck you in and not let you our of your chair for hours... Or days! The graphics are pretty wild. The plane and helicopter selection are awesome. But more on that in a minute.
First, I want to talk a little about flight simulation games.
Over the past few years, flight simulation games have really skyrocketed in terms of quality. Normal, consumer grade hardware has improved to the point where the game developers can do what they want with the game, rather than have the game dictated to them through the PC's limitations.
A few of the more notable improvements in modern simulation are animatronics, graphics and convenience (ease of use). As compared to flight simulation software of the past, today's games really are a cut above those delivered even last year.
.|It doesn't matter if your new to flight simulation or not - Flight Pro Sim is a perfect choice if you're looking for a flight simulation game that you can play over and over again. Also, Flight Pro Sim doesn't require any added modules or additional equipment like pedals and dash clusters... It just works!
I haven't quite graduated to that level, but I hope to be there before long!
In my opinion, one of the best resources pilots and astronauts can have is flight simulation software. In fact, flight simulation is used by both NASA and the RAA Flying School to teach their pilots how to fly! Obviously, those systems are tens of thousands or hundreds of thousands of dollars. Flight Pro Sim can give you a lot of the same experiences for a fraction of the price.
Some of the best features of Flight Pro Sim are its 20,000 airports and 100+ aircraft that you can choose to fly. You can even fly helicopters! I've had my pilot's license for 7 years and that's one thing I still dream about - flying a helicopter...
Another cool thing about Flight Pro Sim is that it has some of the early airplanes in it. It's got the Wright style planes and military aircraft. Pick one of those and have the time of your life!
Another cool feature is the terrain. Flight Pro Sim has some of the best looking, best modeled terrain I've ever seen. The developers worked long and hard to make it look as real as possible. In fact, the terrain is modeled after US Defense Mapping and NASA information and the quality is apparent.
Another thing Flight Pro Sim does well is that it makes use of time zones, lunar patterns and weather to change up the flight experience on the fly. It's got aircraft carriers and tons of other extra features built in...
I've been using Flight Pro Sim for the past 6 months or so and it's blown me away. It really is an awesome game if you're looking to get into flight simulation!
