The clean up scan is a scan that will be conducted on the computer's registry. Just like the name of the scan, it will "clean up" the computer's registry. This means that any information located in the registry of the computer that is no longer used or needed will be removed in order to make more space in the registry. With more space being freed up in the registry, it also means that the speed of the computer will increase.
