10 Symptoms of Lyme Disease You Need to Know for Early Detection and to Prevent Complications

Lyme disease affects the body's nervous system, bones and muscles, blood circulation, breathing, skin, eyes, ears, digestive tract, genitourinary tract, and causes general body malaise.

Anybone can be a carrier of Lyme disease. It is a disease that is generated from the bite of an infected tick. As the infected tick bites, the bacteria travels through the skin to any part of the body and will generally cause malaise to the body's systems. Early detection can prevent serious infection and further complications.

Nervous system

If you're experiencing general migraines and dizziness then your nervous system has already been partially infected with the Lyme bacteria. Other symptoms that affect the nervous system include lack of sleep and poor verbal fluency. Disorientation is also common. Poor memory and an inability to concentrate can also be observed.

Bones and muscles

Stiffness and muscle cramps are common complaints of people with Lyme disease. Joint pains and swelling can also be noticed on the different parts of the body.

Blood circulation

Chest pain and irregular heart beat are often felt. Partial or general inflammation of the arteries is also possible. General palpitation is also common.

Breathing

Since the nervous system is affected, it is possible that inflammation of the sinuses can be very common. Difficulty breathing and cases of pneumonia can also be considered as Lyme disease symptoms.

Skin

You might also feel itching or a crawling sensation on the skin. Formation of rashes and benign cysts can also be observed. Sometimes the rashes or itching will result in skin discoloration.

Eyes

Lyme disease symptoms can also affect vision. These include further eye irritation and inflammation. The eyes night also be extra sensitive to light. This results in blurred vision and dry eyes. In more serious cases, blindness results.

Ears

Once the Borrelia bacteria reaches the digestive tract, the person could experience digestive deficiency. Nausea and vomiting are the initial symptoms of the disease. Diarrhea and constipation often occur which frequently results in a loss of appetite or the enlargement o.

Genitourinary tract

Once the genitourinary tract is infected the Lyme carrier will experience pain in the pelvic region, testis, and other genitourinary pains. This is because the bacteria causes the urethra and bladder to inflame. Genitourinary malfunctioning will cause the affected person to lose his or her interest in sex.

General body malaise

Lyme disease symptoms will cause general body malaise, including frequent tiredness and loss of energy. Flu and fever is common discomfort which results in an irregular weight loss or gain. It is also believed that Lyme bacteria imitates some psychiatric disorders.

If any of these symptoms are frequently observed, then it is advisable to have a check-up with an expert doctor for an early medication and prevention. Lyme disease can be fatal. Early prevention and treatment is strongly recommended.
