Almost all of us have seen the commercials or heard the rumor that in order to live longer and have a better health we should be getting 30 minutes of exercise every day. Well how do we find 30 minutes from our daily schedule?

In this articles I will provide you with a few simple tricks on how to get those 30 minutes a day without even getting near the gym or putting on your running shoes. If you are of normal weight or maybe you are looking to lose a few pounds then at least 30 minutes of movement each day will do you good in a long-term perspective. You might be working out weekly already? Well then you are of course in the clear, but why not use the tips that I will provide you with in this article to boost your weekly workout time in a really easy way by simple adding a few healthy habits into your everyday life.

Tip number one. Are there any stairs where you work? Well why not use them instead of the elevator? If you take the stairs each day you might get 5 minutes of physical activity on your daily account right there. It's very simple and provides a great cardio vascular workout.

Tip number two. Do you take the car, bus or subway to work? Then it would not hurt you to park the car a little further from your job and do the last bit on foot? Or maybe get of at the stop before you usually do. Besides from being a perfect way of getting some exercise and some fresh air, you will also harvest the benefit of showing up at work with more energy.

Tip number three. Most of us have a few phone calls to make each day, maybe you plan to call friends of family once you are back home from work. Well why sit down when you can walk while talking on the phone, and with a mobile phone you can even take a walk outside. It is a very good way to gain some vital minutes of physical activity as well.

Tip number four. Using Nordic walking sticks when walking is a really good way to increase the fat burning effect of a regular work. When you use walking poles you actually increase the calorie burning effect of a normal walk by more than 50 percent. This is really something worth checking out.
