There is nothing worse than holding someone's sweaty hand whilst trying to be romantic. Let's look more into the problem of sweating excessively and what can be done to alleviate the problem.

Sweating excessively is called hyperhidrosis. This type of sweating can occur on your armpits, feet, hands or anywhere you sweat. Many people are affected by this condition worldwide. This is different than normal sweating, with this condition you can be wet or damp from morning to night. Do you have this problem? If you it must feel you with dread about this first date coming up.

You must be wondering what to do if he wants to hold hands. Also you could be concerned about overly sweating in other areas of your body too and if there will be an odor. Do you think how can you keep your hands dryer? The date may not be quite as fun for you. Who wants to worry about sweating when you want to relax and have fun? Not you or me for sure.

Now there are numerous treatments for excessive sweating. Antiperspirants are often prescribed too to control excessive sweating. This does not work for everyone and other treatments are merited. Doctors can prescribe medications for this problem.

Beta blockers, clonidine hydrochloride and anticholinergics have been found to be effective. These work by inhibiting the sweat glands, which cuts down on all sweating. Reduce your Hand Sweating using these medications. However, they should not be taken long term because of their side effects. These can even cause blurred vision, urinary retention dry mouth, impairment in speech and other functions in the throat and mouth, heart palpitations and constipation.

If this does not work on your sweaty hands then you can try iontophoresis which is a process using mild electric current and water to thicken the skin on the feet or hands. The thicker skin blocks the sweat from coming to the surface.

Injecting Botulinum toxin (Botox) into the area affected by excessive sweating has shown to be an effective treatment. If none of the above treatments work then surgery might be a consideration at least for underarm sweating. This works on the nerves in the area, but can cause sweating to happening in other places as a side effect.

There are natural treatments available for your sweaty hands too if you do not like medical options. These do not have the side effects that the above treatments could have. The treatments usually involve knowing which foods can trigger sweating too among other things.

So look into the natural treatments available today and cure your Hand Sweating problem today. Then when that first date gets here you will not have to worry about have damp or wet hands, and can hold hands with confidence.
