It's not surprising that our modern lifestyle is not conducive with the requirements of our body. We try to do way too much in any one day, working excessive hours, not sleeping well, as we try and balance our dwindling social life with our job and looking after our family. As we try and fit all of this in, we exercise less, take care of ourselves poorly, feed ourselves junk food, all because we believe we don't have enough time to do the proper thing. Strains and stresses on our body will result, due to this poor nutrition and poor exercise. How can it be surprising that things go wrong? A common condition results in adrenal fatigue, generally poorly diagnosed due to the fact that it is linked to very small organs, the adrenal glands, near to the kidneys. After living like this for many years and trying to maintain these crazy schedules, we start to see the signs of failure.
We have to remember that our body was basically "designed" over the centuries to function according to basic primitive needs. We needed to eat, we needed to sleep and we needed to fight, if necessary. Today, of course, we place an amazing demand on our bodies by eating processed, nutritionally deficient foods, ingesting toxins and failing to recharge our bodily batteries by sleeping adequately. We should be resting even more and demanding nutritional excellence, if we are to survive, this way.
It's hardly surprising that chronic fatigue sets in. The adrenal glands are not able to help us handle stress or regulate our blood sugar. Stress hormones create an imbalance, our thyroid, nervous system and brain function is impaired and as our immunity is compromised, we are so vulnerable. With little sleep, we cannot regenerate our adrenal glands and as we eat an increasingly poor diet, food sensitivities cause a hormonal imbalance as the body tries to fight off inflammation and attack.
For a majority of people, symptoms may not be chronic enough to warrant further investigation. They may feel run down, but attribute this to the hectic lifestyle and think it is just a consequence of the way that life is, these days. When they get low energy, they don't recognize this as a warning sign and think that they can combat this with a "quick" junk diet, or a hectic thirty minutes in the gym, just putting additional stress and strain on their adrenal glands.
Pregnolone is a very important part of our body when it comes to hormones. When we're not feeling good and generally rundown, the body uses this building block, in an attempt to handle stress, by making cortisol. From studies, it looks as if excessive cortisol can be taken from DHEA or testosterone when we are overstressed, certainly making an existing situation a lot worse.
The solution is simple but you must be consistent. Make sure you go to sleep and wake up with the cycles of the sun, eat as healthy as you can organic traditional foods, exercise regularly and pace yourself to enjoy all aspects of life. Remember, you will never finish your "to do list".
