There was a book that was released not all that long ago that was entitled, the body's many cries for water. It was put out by an Iranian doctor who's spent some time in prison several decades ago as a political prisoner. During that time, he was permitted to remain alive so that he could treat the other inmates who were in the prison. Unfortunately, he did not have anything to treat those people with, other than water. To his surprise, the water was able to treat many of them and take care of a lot of their more serious problems.
The unfortunate thing is, many of us are dealing with the problem with severe dehydration that may have been a problem since our young childhood. This can cause many different health issues for us, but one of the more common that we may be experiencing is irritable bowel syndrome. Almost all of us are going to experience at least some of the symptoms at some point in our life, while others of us may deal with it chronically for many years. Even though it does not cause any difficulties with the body that can harm it, it can certainly be life altering as we are dealing with these symptoms.
Overcoming the problems with irritable bowel syndrome may be as simple as making sure that we are drinking enough water in order to keep our bodies hydrated. This is something that far too many of us don't do regularly but the health benefits that can be achieved by doing so are really innumerable. The general recipe for hydrating the body is to drink half of your body weight on a daily basis in ounces of water. Along with that water, you would want to take some natural sea salt in order to give the water the opportunity to work its magic.
After a few weeks of the water cure, once it is done persistently, you will begin to notice some benefits in your digestive health. Where you may have been dealing with constipation or diarrhea as a result of the irritable bowel syndrome, now you will be regular and will no longer have these issues. Although you still may need to avoid some of the triggers that caused the IBS, such as stress or food allergies, drinking enough water is an excellent way to overcome this and many other issues that you may be having with your health.
