Understanding Excessive Sweating

As it is a cooling process this function is triggered when there is an increase in the temperature of the surroundings or the body itself is over working and getting heated internally. But people who suffer from the affects of excessive sweating these usual triggers do not do their job. People with this problem have hyperactive sweat glands that work overtime and secrete their salty solutions without any usual triggers.

Excessive sweating is a medical condition but as most people lack this knowledge it can become a major source of emotional and physical grief. The emotional side of this problem though crippling it is essential that people understand the physical implications of this problem.

The first and foremost problem that people suffering from excessive sweating face is the problem of odor. Sweat is an odor less fluid however the bacteria that feeds on it produces waste, it is this waste that is the cause of all the odor. So for the people with the excessive sweating disorder this problem multiplies and they need to be very diligent about use of antiperspirant and overall personal hygiene.

Another very serious problem faced by the people with excessive sweating disorder is the loss of huge amounts of fluids from the body. This means that such people run the risk of dehydration. Apart from the visible side effects of dehydration like dry dead skin, brittle hair parched lips there are some very devastating internal side effects. Lack of water affects kidneys and can cause stones in them. Also heart and digestive system get badly affected by the lack of water. Our bodies are 70% water and lack of this fluid affects every function of the body.

In case hands are the area of the body which, have overly active sweat glands gripping things can become problematic. Due to excess moisture the grip on things is never quite solid. So much so that in some cases even gripping a pen becomes an impossible task.

This problem also affects the financial side of it's victims as well. As sufferers sweat profusely the clothes they wear worn out quickly not only due the constant contact with a liquid. But also due to the fact that these clothes need to be washed more frequently which can cause fraying.

It is always to be remembered that excessive sweating is a disorder of the human body. It should be treated as one with proper medical advise and treatment. There are different forms of treatment available and they should be administered exactly according to the location and intensity of the problem. With the right medical treatment this problem can be cured.

In short excessive sweating affects the body and makes normal functioning difficult. Thus professional help is absolutely required to provide the body with the required support needed to get rid of the problem.
