Workout Tips That Work - Short Workouts Pay Big Dividends

One of the most common myths about working out is the longer you workout the greater the benefit. The fact of the matter is that shorter workouts (less than an hour) with proper intensity, reap the best results.

I believe that you can get maximum results in your workout routines by working out no more than four hours a week! That's all you need.

There is an abundance of proof that confirms the fact that too much time working out can be counter productive to reaching your fitness goals. It can be hard on your body and on your mental state.

The best way to workout is through brief, high intensity workouts. These kind of workouts will produce the most impressive results and keep you mentally sharp and ready to do it again the next day.

For me, working out with weights three days a week for about 50 minutes or so, and then doing high intensity aerobic exercises on the alternating days, creates incredible results in a shorter period of time.

The reason for this is partly because the muscle growth you desire takes place while you are resting. The recovery process that you have between workouts is the time that your muscles recover and grow.

By working out with focused, intense sets and multiple reps with short, one minute rest periods between sets, gets you through your fitness routine quickly with rich rewards.

If you want proof of this just look around you at your local gym. If you have been going to the same gym for over six months, I guarantee you that you see many of the same people there all the time. Some of them are there no matter what time of the day you go. That means they are there a lot.

How many of those people still have excess flab and don't look any different than they did the first time you saw them? My guess is there are quite a few. If spending more time working out was the secret to getting results...why haven't they changed?

If you continue to push your body past the point of it's natural need to recover, you will gain much less improvement than you would if you worked out much harder for much shorter periods.

In as little as 12 weeks you can reap tremendous benefits by limiting your weight training to 3 days a week. Every other day an intense 20 minute cardio workout is all you need to maintain a high metabolic rate that helps you burn away fat quickly

If you really want to get maximum results and change the way you look, develop a workout plan that keeps you in the gym for less than an hour a day (less than 30 minutes for aerobic exercise), and you will be shocked at how quickly your body responds.
