This is the seventh and final report on laser hair removal and how it can affect you. You should always do your research before talking to anyone about a medical procedure, whether it is invasive or not. The procedure can produce amazing results, if you do your research first.
What questions should I ask? When you talk to a clinic, physician or specialist, the questions you ask will be important for you to determine who the best practitioner will be for you. Questions should include:
a)Price: Prices for similar procedures can vary between 100% and 200%, depending on the clinic
b)Payment Options: Some places allow for a pay-as-you-go option while others require upfront payments
c)Laser Technician Question 1: Who will be performing the actual procedure? Laser hair removal is not taught in medical school so an actual doctor is not necessarily better than a non-doctor. Experience is key.
d)Laser Technician Question 2: Will it be the same technician performing every treatment? Some clinics are chain clinics and a personal relationship is not developed between technician and patient. Thus you may have a different laser technician for each visit. As long as they are all certified and have experience, this is OK. It is just extra investigative work for you.
How much does laser hair removal cost? Can you really put a cost on your self-image and your time? Yes, of course you can. Laser hair removal costs vary from city to city and from clinic to clinic. Cost will depend on the skill of the doctor, the equipment they use, and the office overhead they must pay for. Prices per visit can vary anywhere from $100, for areas such as the upper lip, to $800 for an entire back. A bikini treatment may vary from $200 per treatment to $500 per treatment. Make sure you find out specifically what each covers from your doctor because each clinic's body-area definitions will vary (i.e. regular bikini vs. Brazilian bikini, etc.)
Please note that I am not a doctor or a laser hair removal practitioner and this information should not be used as medical advice. If you need medical advice, see a doctor or laser hair removal practitioner.
I hope this has helped you in your quest to take yourself to the next level. Remember, like anything else, if done correctly, the procedure can be wonderful. If you don't do your research, it can be a big disappointment.
