Halloween is only a few weeks and days away and soon you will have to organise that kids party. But don't worry here are three simple games that kids will love and so will adults.

Bobbing For Apples

All you will require for this fun game is a large tub, water and a bag of apples. For the tub try a large bucket, basin or barrel. You can decorate your own tub or buy a ready made one from stores. Just make sure that whatever tub you use it is clean.

Fill the tub with water almost to the top. You may want to put plastic sheets or bags under the tub as the area around the tub will get wet. And remember those towels for the contestants after the game.

Then remove all the stems from the apples and make sure all the apples are clean. Larger apples are harder to bite into. Put one apple in the tub for each player.

Players now take turns trying to pick up an apple with only their mouth by putting their heads in the tub. It is very tricky to achieve as the apples bob (hence bobbing) around the water as players try to bite into them.

Players who are successful get to keep and eat their apple. It makes a healthy change for the kids after all the candy eaten at Halloween.

This game is a classic Halloween game and dates back to Roman times.

Pin The Wart On The Witch

Using a black bin liner glued over cardboard (or black cardboard) cut out a witch's outline. Remember to include the pointy hat and hat, so kids can see what it is. Decorate the witch with glitter, orange ribbons, plastic spiders, fake webs, green string etc.

Now, stick the witch shape onto the wall, peg board, or anywhere else that looks safe.

Then take a few small lumps of sticky tack (make it green if you can), or a few pieces of green felt, or playdough, and then stick a thumb tack through them. These will be your warts! If you don?t want to use pins, use sticky tape.

Take an appropriately coloured scarf as a blind fold and let the kids take turns trying to pin the warts on the witch?s nose.

You can spin older children around first to make it a bit more difficult for them.

Halloween Who Am I

When kids arrive for the party ask them to draw a picture of a Halloween related character on to a piece of card and to write the character's name below the picture.

Once everyone has arrived for the party pin one of the cards on each child's back.

Guests are allowed to ask yes or no questions to work out which character is on their back. When guests work out who the character is on their back they get a prize, such as candy.

Character suggestions: scary movie characters, scary cartoon characters, vampires, ghosts and witches.
