Count them as you put them in and make a note of the total number of safety pins that are in the jar on a piece of paper. Fold the paper up so no one can see it and put it in the jar so it will be available when you play the game.

In order to play all you need to do is first, take the answer sheet out and put it in your pocket. Then show the guests the jar full of safety pins and tell them that you will pass it around for them to guess how many safety pins are in the jar.

After it's passed around, ask them, one by one, to write their answers down on a sheet of paper. Pull the answer out of your pocket, figure out which guest came closest to the right number, and give her a prize.
