Its no secret that a lot of people fail in the network marketing industry. Yet no one really questions WHY this is still the case. It's a statistic that doesn't seem to change over time.
The intent behind the sales pitch is what a Network Marketer should avoid at all costs.
The sales pitch is an outdated technique with a bad reputation which doesn't work for the majority of information savvy people today. The Sales Pitch is too one sided especially in an industry where a business relationship starts with the expectancy of a medium to long term time frame. The buyer obviusy does start the conversation because they are looking for something but they may not have totally understood yet what they were looking for and the seller takes this queue and shapes the conversation from there. The salesperson aim of the sale, that's it. They have a selfish need to get their result. While the salesperson can tick the box what is happening with the buyer?
This is where the problem lies, the buyer was in a certain emotional state and when it wears off and they realise the amount of effort, training, and resources and overall commitment needed to become successful in this style of business they drop out. We all know what it feels like when we buy something and have second thoughts after. We may not use the appliance or wear the outfit. You will never end up wearing it more than three times.
But there are lots of successful people in the industry using this technique so why are they doing so well?
Its all a numbers game, they use this approach with so many people that there is a group of people that will stick. Every new prospect that is engaged requires the conversation to accommodate for the seller having to dodge the buyers natural urges to avoid being 'sold'. This is time consuming and exhausting. Hurdles build invincibly because the seller needs to overcompensate for the conversation happening with a lack of trust and established relationship.
I think this is the most important point...no trust and establishment of a relationship means small to nil results from this new customer because you didn't have their commitment on their terms in the first place.
There's a new approach that is far more rewarding for the network marketer and still a win/win situation for the buyer.
Allow the decision to be the buyer's choice.
With the continual increase in competition, choice and access to information available on a global scale, I believe this type of selling (without selling) is the only way a network marketer will have longevity in the industry.
